United Martial Arts Boyer Academy
The United Martial Arts Boyer Academy opened its doors on January 2, 2009, and is dedicated not only to individuals but to the entire family. Each family member can be taught Korean Tae Kwon Do at his or her own pace in a safe, family friendly environment.
Master Boyer began his studies in marital arts at the age of ten under the guidance of Grand Master Soon Uk Kim. As he advanced through the ranks of martial arts he participated in numerous training programs and many invitational tournaments. Along his journey he has had the opportunity to meet and train with many instructors and Masters. Master Boyer credits his well rounded teaching style to the fact that he had many teachers over the years. One of those teachers, Master Vicki Vineyard, taught him many lessons, one of which was that fighting is not the answer and to just walk away. It is important to remember that these Masters were not just teachers, but family.
On August 16, 2008, at the age of twenty six he tested for his fifth degree black belt and was then invited by his mentors and teachers, Master Vicki Vineyard, Master Brad Chapman, and Grand Master Kim, to become a Master. Master Boyer had to perform a ceremony of one thousand bows in front of his teachers and peers. This task takes more mental strength than physical ability. Some would say that his journey was complete, but for a martial artist it is never finished. Now Master Boyer will spend the remainder of his journey teaching others like so many before have taught him.
Tae Kwon Do is not merely a martial art for self-defense, but a physical exercise for both young and old to develop strength and agility to maintain both physical and mental health. Tae Kwon Do is a sport for the entire physical system generating energy in every organ of the body, developing the muscles, and stimulating the brain. Taw Kwon Do training teaches students to gain self-confidence, earn better grades in school, learn to be leaders, and to live a healthy and productive life.
The heart of any martial arts school is the teacher. Master Boyer and the United Martial Arts instructors teach more than just technique, they teach conduct. Untied Martial Arts students are committed to the student creed; courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit.
Master Boyer and the United Martial Arts instructors are always available to speak to you about any questions or concerns that you may have. We have an open door policy.
